This goes into the category of: “I wish I had thought of doing that.”
A reporter from the Orange County Register sat on a front porch on Disneyland’s Main Street and reported on the folks passing by, as well as the various parades throughout the day and into the night.
In some cases, he invited passersby to get up on the porch and sit a spell. From the porch, we see the opening rush, tons of strollers with babies, people changing their socks from all the walking, families staking out their curb space for an upcoming parade, etc.
Through the lens of the reporter’s cell phone, we see a spot in the universe, perhaps the happiest place on earth (though I doubt that), from morning to closing time.
This is what front porches are for, to observe the world passing by, and perchance to interact with it. Thank you Mark Eades and the O.C. Register for a nice show. Click here to see all 50 images.
